Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until smooth and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla extract, and beat for 2–3 minutes until combined.
In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually stir dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a wooden spoon until a soft dough forms.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Scoop 1 tablespoon of dough and flatten slightly. Place 1/2 teaspoon of Nutella in the center and fold the dough over to seal it.
Place dough balls on prepared baking sheet and bake for 12–14 minutes until edges are golden.
Let cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
Seal the Nutella completely to prevent leakage. You can chill the dough to make it easier to handle and enhance flavor. Add sea salt on top before baking for a gourmet touch.
