Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, cream cheese, and granulated sugar until creamy (about 3 minutes).
Beat in the eggs and lemon extract until light and fluffy. Stir in the lemon zest.
Add flour, salt, and baking powder to the wet mixture and mix until well combined.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop dough into 2 tablespoon-sized balls. Roll each dough ball in powdered sugar until fully coated.
Place cookies on the baking sheet and bake for 11–13 minutes, until edges are set and tops are crackled.
