3tablespoonsGranulated sugar
1cupAll-purpose flour

2cupsWater
2cupsSugar
6tablespoonsCornstarch
1package (6-ounce)Strawberry jell-o
3poundsStrawberries, cleaned and de-stemmed
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Mix butter, sugar, and flour in a bowl until dough forms. Press into a greased deep-dish pie plate evenly across bottom and sides.
Bake the crust for 10–15 minutes or until lightly golden. Let cool completely.
In a saucepan, bring water, sugar, and cornstarch to a boil, stirring until thickened and clear.
Remove from heat and stir in strawberry jell-o until dissolved. Let the glaze cool slightly.
Fold in cleaned and de-stemmed strawberries.
Pour mixture into cooled pie crust and chill for at least 2–3 hours or until set.
Serve chilled with whipped cream, if desired.
Notes
Use firm, ripe strawberries for the best texture and taste. Let the jell-o mixture cool slightly before folding in berries to preserve their freshness. Store-bought crust is an easy shortcut!
