Ingredients

Meat

  • 6 pieces Cube Steaks

Vegetables

  • 1 medium Onion peeled and sliced into rings

Soups

  • 1 can Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1 can Cream of Celery Soup

Soup Mix

  • 1 packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix

Water

  • 1/2 can Water from the soup can

Seasoning

  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Peel and slice the onion into thin rings. Set aside.
  • Lightly season each cube steak with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Layer 2 cube steaks in the bottom of the slow cooker, then top with a portion of sliced onions. Repeat layers with remaining steaks and onions.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, cream of celery soup, and 1/2 can of water until smooth.
  • Pour the soup mixture evenly over the steaks and onions.
  • Sprinkle the onion soup mix over the top.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours until steaks are tender and gravy is thickened.

Notes

Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles. For extra flavor, add fresh mushrooms or swap in cream of mushroom soup.
