Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 3 cups fresh cranberries, coarsely chopped
  • 2 medium apples, cored and diced
  • 1 cup chopped pineapple (fresh or canned)

Nuts

  • 1/2 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped

Sweeteners

  • 1/2 cup sugar, adjust based on sweetness preference
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows (optional)
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream or yogurt for dressing (optional)

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped cranberries, diced apples, and chopped pineapple.
  • Stir in sugar, nuts, and mini marshmallows if using. Mix well until all the fruit is evenly coated with sugar.
  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least an hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Before serving, fold in whipped cream or yogurt for a creamy texture, or serve as is for a fresher, lighter option.

Notes

For a nut-free version, substitute nuts with sunflower or pumpkin seeds. Dried cranberries can replace fresh cranberries, though they may be sweeter. Prepare a day ahead but add nuts and whipped cream just before serving for best texture.
