Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain any extra fat.
Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Layer half of the sliced potatoes at the bottom, followed by half of the cooked beef and onion mix. Sprinkle with half of the shredded cheese.
Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, beef and onion, and cheese.
In a small bowl, mix together the milk, condensed cream of mushroom soup, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Pour this mixture over the layers in the baking dish.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
After an hour, remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

For extra flavor, try adding your favorite herbs and spices. You can use different cheeses, like mozzarella or pepper jack, for a twist!
