Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking Dish
  • Biscuit Cutter

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 4 cups Bisquick baking mix

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 1 cup 7-Up (or any lemon-lime soda)
  • 1/2 cup Melted butter (for pan)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and pour the melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish, swirling to coat the bottom evenly.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick and sour cream. Use a pastry cutter or fork to blend them together until you have coarse, crumbly bits.
  • Slowly add the 7 Up, mixing gently. The dough will be very soft and sticky—resist the urge to overmix!
  • Sprinkle a little Bisquick onto a clean countertop or parchment paper. Gently turn the dough out onto the surface and pat it into a rectangle about 1-inch thick.
  • Use a biscuit cutter or glass to cut rounds, lightly dipping the cutter in Bisquick between cuts.
  • Place the biscuits into the prepared baking dish, snuggling them close together.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown and risen.
  • Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Store leftover biscuits in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days, or refrigerate for up to four days.
