Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 2 large eggs

Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, vanilla, and melted butter.
  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the diced apples until evenly distributed.
  • Drop spoonfuls of batter onto the baking sheet, shaping into rounds.
  • Bake for 15–18 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • While baking, mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make glaze.
  • Once fritters are slightly cooled, drizzle or dip them in the glaze. Let glaze set before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container up to 3 days or freeze up to 1 month. Reheat in oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes. Try with caramel drizzle or add nuts for crunch!
