Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Skillet
  • Saucepan
  • Pizza Pan

Ingredients

Dough Ingredients

  • 2.67 cups Flour
  • 0.75 cup Powdered Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 package Quick-Rise Yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1.67 cups Warm Water (110–115°F)
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable Oil

Topping Ingredients

  • 0.5 pound Italian Sausage
  • 0.5 pound Ground Chuck
  • 0.5 teaspoon Pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 8-ounce block Mozzarella Cheese

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 6-ounce can Tomato Paste
  • 1.5 cups Water
  • 0.33 cup Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 0.5 tablespoon Dried Oregano
  • 0.5 tablespoon Dried Basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Dried Rosemary

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, powdered milk, sugar, quick-rise yeast, and salt. Gradually stir in warm water until a dough forms. Add vegetable oil and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rest in a warm spot for 10–15 minutes.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook Italian sausage and ground chuck until browned, seasoning with salt and pepper. Drain excess fat and set aside.
  • In a saucepan, combine tomato paste, water, olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, basil, and rosemary. Simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until fragrant and thickened.
  • Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to fit a pizza pan or baking sheet. Transfer and press evenly into the pan.
  • Spread the sauce over the crust. Add the cooked meat evenly, then top with grated mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until crust is golden and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let cool slightly before slicing and serving. Enjoy that classic school-style flavor!

Notes

For best results, let dough rise in a warm, draft-free area. Drain cooked meat to prevent soggy crusts. Sprinkle extra cheese or red pepper flakes for bold flavor.
