  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Light Brown Sugar, packed
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
  • Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Step 3: Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Add the vanilla extract and stir until incorporated.
  • Step 4: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add these dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  • Step 5: Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  • Step 6: Scoop out 2-tablespoon-sized portions of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheets, spacing each cookie about 2 inches apart.
  • Step 7: Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers still look slightly underbaked. Let cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. Freeze baked cookies for up to 3 months.
