1cupLight Brown Sugar, packed
2largeEggs
2teaspoonsPure Vanilla Extract
3cupsAll-Purpose Flour
1teaspoonBaking Soda
1/2teaspoonBaking Powder
1teaspoonSalt
2cupsSemi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
Step 3: Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Add the vanilla extract and stir until incorporated.
Step 4: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add these dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
Step 5: Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Step 6: Scoop out 2-tablespoon-sized portions of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheets, spacing each cookie about 2 inches apart.
Step 7: Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers still look slightly underbaked. Let cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
