Instructions
Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat and sauté mushrooms until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside.
In a bowl, mix ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into patties slightly larger than bread slices.
Cook patties in the same skillet until browned on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side.
Spread mayo or garlic aioli on one side of each slice of bread. Place Swiss cheese on both sides, add the beef patty, and top with sautéed mushrooms.
Heat a skillet and grill the sandwich until golden brown and crispy, flipping carefully (about 2-3 minutes per side).
Slice and serve hot.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, substitute beef with plant-based meat or sautéed vegetables. Try different cheeses like cheddar or pepper jack for variation.
