  • 4 cups Sweet Potatoes, cooked and mashed
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 large Eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

Topping Ingredients

  • 1 cup Pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup Butter, softened
  • 1 cup Mini Marshmallows (optional) Add on top for extra sweetness.

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, brown sugar, melted butter, milk, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.
  • Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, combine pecans, flour, softened butter, and additional brown sugar to make a crumble topping.
  • Sprinkle the pecan topping over the sweet potato mixture.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, then add marshmallows on top (if using) and bake for an additional 5 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a less sweet version, reduce the sugar or use a savory pecan topping. If using canned sweet potatoes, drain them well before mashing.
