Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Pizza Dough store-bought or homemade
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 0.5 cup Diced Onion
  • 0.5 cup Diced Bell Pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 0.5 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1 cup Pizza Sauce divided
  • 1.5 cups Shredded Mozzarella
  • 0.5 cup Shredded Cheddar optional
  • 0.5 cup Pizza Sauce for topping
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella for topping
  • Pepperoni Slices for topping
  • Sliced Jalapeños or Mushrooms optional for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and bell pepper over medium heat until browned and tender. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and 1/2 cup pizza sauce. Simmer for 3–5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Grease a deep cake pan or cast iron skillet. Roll out pizza dough and press into the pan, bringing it up the sides.
  • Layer half the mozzarella on the bottom, top with the beef mixture, cheddar (if using), and remaining mozzarella.
  • Spoon the remaining pizza sauce on top. Add pepperoni slices and any optional toppings.
  • Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  • Let rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Experiment with toppings! Try spicy sausage, mushrooms, or olives. Store leftovers in the fridge for 3 days or freeze individual slices for up to 3 months.
