Instructions
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate bowl, mix milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth.
Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until a soft dough forms.
In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Set aside.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C).
Roll the dough into 1-inch balls with lightly floured hands.
Fry in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
Using a piping bag, inject each donut hole with cheesecake filling.
Warm strawberry jam slightly and drizzle over the donut holes before serving.
Notes
Use room temperature cream cheese for smooth filling. Don’t overheat the oil. Try substituting the filling with chocolate ganache or fruit preserves.
