Equipment

  • Large Pot
  • Skillet

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Smoked sausage, sliced
  • 8 oz Pasta (spaghetti, rigatoni, or penne)
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  • Step 1: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Step 2: While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced smoked sausage and cook until browned on both sides, about 4-5 minutes.
  • Step 3: Reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not burned.
  • Step 4: Pour in the soy sauce and honey, stirring well to combine. If you like a little heat, sprinkle in the red pepper flakes now.
  • Step 5: Let the mixture cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently until the sauce thickens and becomes sticky.
  • Step 6: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing gently to coat it evenly in the sticky honey garlic sauce.
  • Step 7: Remove from heat and sprinkle chopped green onions over the top. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm gently in a skillet over medium heat, adding a splash of water to loosen the sauce if it’s thickened too much in the fridge.
