Instructions
In a large skillet or saucepan, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Break it apart with a spoon until fully cooked.
Stir in chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, pepper, dried onion, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.
Add 2–3 cups of water until the beef is covered. Stir and bring to a simmer.
Simmer uncovered on low for 1–2 hours, stirring occasionally, until beef is very tender and mixture thickens.
Add ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well and simmer an additional 30–45 minutes.
Serve hot over grilled hot dogs with your favorite toppings such as mustard, onions, or coleslaw.
Notes
Simmer longer for deeper flavor. Great for meal prep and freezer-friendly. Try over fries or burgers too! Adjust spice level to taste.
