Ingredients

Banana Filling

  • 4 pieces ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Cobbler Topping

  • 1 1/2 cups crushed vanilla wafers or butter crackers (like Ritz)
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Optional Toppings

  • whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (for serving, optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, whole milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Gently stir in sliced bananas and pour into prepared dish.
  • In a separate bowl, combine crushed wafers/crackers, brown sugar, flour, and baking powder. Stir in melted butter until crumbly.
  • Sprinkle topping mixture evenly over banana filling.
  • Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
  • Let cool slightly. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, if desired.

Notes

Use fresh bananas for best flavor. Add chopped pecans or walnuts to the topping for crunch. Cool slightly before serving to allow flavors to set. Store leftovers in the fridge up to 4 days.
