Equipment

  • 9x13-inch baking pan
  • Medium Saucepan
  • Spatula

Ingredients

Graham Crackers

  • 10 full-size Graham Crackers

Butter and Sugar

  • 1 cup Salted Butter
  • 1 cup Light Brown Sugar Packed

Toppings

  • 3 bars Milk Chocolate Bars Broken into pieces
  • 1 cup Mini Marshmallows

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal and clean-up.
  • Arrange the graham crackers in a single layer on the bottom of the pan. Break crackers as needed to ensure the entire surface is covered with no big gaps.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the salted butter and packed light brown sugar. Stir constantly until the butter is fully melted.
  • Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, continuing to stir. Let it boil for 3-4 minutes until it thickens and forms a caramel-like sauce.
  • Carefully pour the hot caramel evenly over the graham crackers, spreading it out with a spatula if needed to coat the crackers fully.
  • Place the pan in the oven and bake for 6-8 minutes, until the caramel is bubbly and the graham crackers have softened slightly.
  • Remove the pan from the oven and immediately sprinkle the broken chocolate bar pieces over the hot caramel. Follow with an even layer of mini marshmallows.
  • Switch the oven to ‘broil’. Place the pan back in the oven for 1-2 minutes—just until the marshmallows are golden and toasted. Watch closely, as marshmallows brown very quickly under the broiler.
  • Let the pan cool for at least 15-20 minutes, allowing the bars to set and the caramel to harden somewhat.
  • Once mostly cooled but still slightly soft, use the parchment to lift the bars out and cut them into squares. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For the best flavor, use high-quality chocolate. You can also add a pinch of sea salt to the caramel for a salted caramel flavor.
