Equipment

  • Slow Cooker
  • Parchment Paper
  • Baking Sheet

Ingredients

Nuts

  • 4 cups Pecans chopped

Chocolate

  • 32 ounces Almond Bark
  • 12 ounces Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 6 ounces Chocolate Baking Bar
  • 24 ounces Rolo Candies unwrapped

Optional Toppings

  • Sprinkles optional

Instructions

  • 1. Prepare the Slow Cooker: Line your slow cooker with a large piece of parchment paper or use a slow cooker liner for easy cleanup.
  • 2. Layer the Ingredients: Add the chopped pecans to the bottom of the slow cooker, spreading them out in an even layer. Break the almond bark and chocolate baking bar into smaller pieces and layer them on top of the pecans. Add the semi-sweet chocolate chips on top of the almond bark and chocolate baking bar pieces. Finally, place the unwrapped Rolo candies on top of the chocolate layers.
  • 3. Cook the Turtles: Cover the slow cooker and set it to low heat. Let the ingredients cook for 1 1/2 to 2 hours, checking occasionally to ensure the chocolate is melting evenly. Once all the chocolate has melted, stir gently to combine all the ingredients.
  • 4. Form the Turtles: Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, forming small clusters. While the chocolate is still warm, add sprinkles on top of each cluster for extra flair (optional).
  • 5. Set the Turtles: Allow the chocolate turtles to cool and set at room temperature for at least 1 hour. For faster results, refrigerate them.
  • 6. Serve and Store: Once the turtles are fully set, transfer them to an airtight container for storage. Enjoy your rich, homemade chocolate turtles!

Notes

Customize the nuts, make it festive with sprinkles, and store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
