Ingredients

Chicken

  • 6 pieces boneless, skinless chicken thighs

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • to taste fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  • Place chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
  • In a bowl, combine brown sugar, minced garlic, soy sauce, water, apple cider vinegar, and black pepper. Stir to mix well.
  • Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender.
  • Once cooked, transfer the chicken to a serving plate.
  • If desired, spoon the sauce from the slow cooker over the chicken and garnish with chopped parsley.
  • Serve with steamed rice or vegetables for a complete meal.

Notes

If you have leftovers, let the chicken cool down, then store it in an airtight container in the fridge. It will last for about 3-4 days. You can also freeze it for up to 2 months. Just make sure to thaw it in the fridge before reheating!
