Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain excess fat. Add the diced onion, green bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté for 5 minutes until vegetables are tender.
Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
In a large bowl, mix the cooked pasta with the meat mixture. Stir in 1 1/2 cups of the shredded cheddar cheese.
Transfer to a greased casserole dish. Top with remaining cheese and optional crushed crackers or fried onions.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
