Ingredients

Meat

  • 1.5 lbs flank or skirt steak, thinly sliced

Marinade

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 limes Juice of
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Vegetables

  • 1 large onion, sliced

Tortillas

  • 4 small flour tortillas

Optional Toppings

  • avocado
  • sour cream
  • salsa
  • shredded cheese
  • cilantro

Instructions

  • Marinate the Steak: In a large bowl, whisk olive oil, lime juice, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add steak and coat well. Refrigerate for 15 minutes to 2 hours.
  • Prepare the Vegetables: Slice bell peppers and onion. Set aside.
  • Cook the Steak: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak in a single layer. Cook for 3–5 minutes, flipping halfway, until browned. Remove and set aside.
  • Sauté the Veggies: In the same skillet, sauté onions and peppers for 5–7 minutes until tender and slightly caramelized.
  • Combine & Serve: Return steak to skillet, toss with veggies, and heat through. Warm tortillas separately and serve with your favorite toppings!

Notes

For best results, slice steak against the grain and let rest after cooking. Customize with jalapeños, mushrooms, or your favorite fajita toppings.
