Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Baking Dish
  • Rolling Pin

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Breakfast Sausage Pork, turkey, or your choice
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 cups Whole Milk Works best for creaminess
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • Salt and Pepper To taste
  • 1 package Puff Pastry Thawed if frozen
  • Chopped Green Onions For garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease if needed.
  • Sprinkle flour over sausage and stir to combine. Gradually add milk while whisking to avoid lumps.
  • Cook for 5–7 minutes until the gravy thickens. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat.
  • Roll out puff pastry to fit your pie dish. Line the bottom with one sheet of pastry.
  • Pour sausage gravy into the pastry-lined dish. Top with another sheet of puff pastry and crimp the edges to seal. Cut a few slits in the top.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes or until pastry is puffed and golden brown.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions and serve warm.

Notes

You can use ground turkey or chicken as a sausage substitute. Add diced vegetables like peppers or mushrooms for extra flavor. For a crispier crust, bake on the lower oven rack.
