Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Spatula

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 box instant chocolate pudding mix (3.4 oz)
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup Cool Whip, thawed
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup crushed Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups plus extra for topping, if desired

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk for two minutes until the mixture is thick and smooth.
  • Add the creamy peanut butter and powdered sugar to the pudding. Stir until fully incorporated and smooth.
  • Fold in the Cool Whip gently, using a spatula, until the frosting is light and fluffy. Be careful not to overmix—you want to keep it airy!
  • Stir in the crushed Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, reserving a little for topping.
  • Spread or pipe the frosting onto cupcakes, cakes, brownies, or use as a dip.
  • Sprinkle with extra Reese’s for a special finishing touch. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Stir gently before serving again.
