Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Rolling Pin
  • Baking Sheet
  • Wire Rack

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup butter, chilled and diced
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for dusting)
  • 1 cup your choice of filling (jam, preserves, or cheese)

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine flour, butter, and cream cheese. Mix until the dough is smooth.
  • Wrap the dough in plastic and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  • On a floured surface, roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into squares, place a teaspoon of filling in the center, and fold two opposite corners to the center, pressing gently to seal.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes or until golden.
  • Allow to cool on a wire rack before dusting with granulated sugar.

Notes

Ensure the corners are well pressed together to prevent the cookies from opening up during baking. Chilling the formed cookies before baking helps maintain their shape.
