Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Pie Dish

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 cup ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup Bisquick or similar baking mix
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, add your chopped onion and ground beef. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and Bisquick until smooth. Stir in the cooked beef and onion mix, followed by one cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased pie dish. Spread it out evenly and sprinkle additional cheese on top if you like a cheesy crust. Bake in your preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Once baked, remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes to help set the filling.
  • Slice your pie and serve with your favorite toppings or a fresh side salad for a complete meal!

Notes

This pie pairs wonderfully with a crisp side salad or crunchy potato wedges. You can also complement it with sweet corn or zesty coleslaw.
