Ingredients
1largeonion, chopped
1cupground beef
1cupshredded cheddar cheese
1cupmilk
3largeeggs
1cupBisquick or similar baking mix
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a skillet over medium heat, add your chopped onion and ground beef. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are translucent, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and Bisquick until smooth. Stir in the cooked beef and onion mix, followed by one cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
Pour the mixture into a greased pie dish. Spread it out evenly and sprinkle additional cheese on top if you like a cheesy crust. Bake in your preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
Once baked, remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes to help set the filling.
Slice your pie and serve with your favorite toppings or a fresh side salad for a complete meal!
Notes
This pie pairs wonderfully with a crisp side salad or crunchy potato wedges. You can also complement it with sweet corn or zesty coleslaw.
