Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly grease a 10x15 inch jellyroll pan.
Step 2: In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in cold margarine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
Step 3: Bake the crust for about 20 minutes until set and just beginning to turn golden on the edges.
Step 4: While the crust bakes, whisk together eggs, corn syrup, sugar, melted margarine, and vanilla extract. Stir in chopped pecans until well combined.
Step 5: Spread the pecan filling evenly over the hot crust and return to the oven. Bake for about 25 minutes until the filling is set.
Step 6: Allow the pan to cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into bars or squares.
