  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 36 milk chocolate kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or lightly grease them.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the peanut butter, softened butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, mixing until just combined.
  • Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheets, spaced about 2 inches apart. Gently flatten each ball with the bottom of a glass that has been dipped in sugar.
  • Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Immediately after removing the cookies from the oven, press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie, creating the paw print shape.
  • Transfer the cookies to wire racks to cool completely.
