Equipment

  • Non-stick Skillet
  • Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

Bread

  • 8 slices Soft Sandwich Bread Crusts off

Filling

  • 1/2 cup Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 cup Nutella or Chocolate Spread

Egg Mixture

  • 2 medium Eggs
  • 50 ml Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Cinnamon Sugar For sprinkling

Instructions

  • Trim the crusts off the sandwich bread slices. Lay them out on a clean surface.
  • Spread a generous layer of peanut butter on one side of each slice of bread, then add a layer of Nutella or chocolate spread on top. Roll the bread tightly, starting from the edge with the spreads, to create a roll-up.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined. Add a sprinkle of cinnamon and mix.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and spray with cooking spray or add a bit of butter. Dip each roll into the egg mixture, coating it thoroughly. Allow any excess to drip off before placing the rolls in the skillet.
  • Place the coated rolls seam-side down onto the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Then, turn over and cook the other side until golden and crispy.
  • After cooking, sprinkle the hot rolls with cinnamon sugar for an added touch of flavor.
  • Remove from heat, slice in half, and serve warm, perhaps garnished with some fresh fruit or a dusting of powdered sugar.

Notes

Consider serving these rolls with a side of maple syrup or a chocolate sauce for an indulgent touch.
