Ingredients

Dough Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm milk Make sure it's warm but not hot.
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

Filling Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh peaches, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup softened butter For spreading on the dough.

Glaze Ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk.
  • Add the sugar, melted butter, salt, and flour. Knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it doubles in size.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
  • Spread the softened butter over the dough.
  • Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together. Sprinkle it evenly over the butter.
  • Distribute the chopped peaches on top of the sugar mixture.
  • Roll up the dough tightly from the long edge. Cut it into 12 equal slices using a sharp knife or dental floss.
  • Place the slices in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Bake the cinnamon rolls for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • While the rolls are baking, mix the powdered sugar, cream cheese, milk, and vanilla extract to make the glaze.
  • Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls before serving.

Notes

Store any leftover rolls in an airtight container. They will keep at room temperature for a couple of days or refrigerated for up to a week.
