  • 3 tablespoons Smoked Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Chili Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Onion Powder

  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper (optional) For heat

  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 4 pieces Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 0.25 cup Butter (1 tablespoon per chicken breast)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with foil.
  • In a bowl, whisk together brown sugar, paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
  • Place chicken in a bag or bowl and coat evenly with the dry rub. Marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to 24 hours.
  • Arrange chicken on the baking sheet and top each breast with 1 tablespoon of butter.
  • Bake for 20–30 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Remove and tent loosely with foil. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Pounding chicken to an even thickness helps ensure even cooking. For meal prep, let cool completely before storing in airtight containers. Use leftovers in wraps, salads, or sandwiches.
