  • Baking Sheet

Ingredients

Chicken Wings

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, tips removed and wings split at the joint
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce your choice of brand or homemade
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the seasoning mix.
  • Arrange the chicken wings on a baking rack placed over a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil to catch drips.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, turning once halfway through.
  • Remove the wings from the oven and brush generously with BBQ sauce.
  • Return to the oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until the wings are glossy and slightly caramelized.
  • Serve hot with extra BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.

Notes

For extra crispy wings, make sure they are arranged well on the baking rack and not touching each other. Experiment with different BBQ sauces to find your favorite flavor. If you like a bit of heat, add some cayenne pepper to your seasoning mix!
