Instructions
In a medium saucepan, combine the butter, milk, and cocoa powder.
Heat over medium heat until the butter melts and the mixture is smooth.
Remove from heat and gradually stir in the powdered sugar until fully mixed and glossy.
Stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour over your favorite cake or brownies while the icing is still warm. Let it set before serving.
Notes
If you have leftover icing, store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Reheat slightly before using again.
