  • 1 box cake mix (any flavor)
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 box (16 oz) powdered sugar
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix the cake mix, melted butter, and 2 eggs until well blended.
  • Fold in the chopped nuts and mix until evenly distributed.
  • In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and the additional egg, mixing until fully incorporated.
  • Grease a baking pan and pour half of the cake batter into it.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the batter layer.
  • Pour the remaining batter over the cream cheese layer.
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool before serving. Enjoy!

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months. For best results, reheat individual slices in the microwave for a few seconds before serving.
