Instructions
Boil or bake the sweet potatoes until soft, then peel and mash them until smooth.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed sweet potatoes, melted butter, sugar, milk, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the pie for about 50 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.
