  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup M&M candies
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture until just blended.
  • Fold in the M&M candies and chocolate chips.
  • Spread the dough evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into bars. Enjoy!

Notes

Don't overmix the dough after adding flour to keep the bars soft. Mix different types of candies or nuts for extra flavor.
