Ingredients

Meat

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey

Seasoning

  • 1 packet taco seasoning

Beans

  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed

Tomatoes

  • 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies

Cheese

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Chips

  • 1 bag (10 oz) tortilla chips, crushed

Toppings

  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  • In a skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned. Be sure to drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in the taco seasoning, black beans, and diced tomatoes. Let it cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • In your prepared baking dish, layer half of the crushed tortilla chips, then add the beef mixture, and sprinkle half of the shredded cheese on top. Repeat the layers.
  • Bake for 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve hot, topped with sour cream and chopped green onions.
