Ingredients
2
cups
White Lily self-rising flour
Preferred for its lower protein content.
1
cup
Heavy whipping cream
Can substitute with full-fat coconut cream for a dairy-free option.
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
In a large bowl, combine the self-rising flour and heavy whipping cream.
Stir gently with a spoon or spatula until a soft dough forms—don’t overmix.
Lightly flour your work surface and turn the dough onto it. Knead gently just 3-4 times until mostly smooth.
Pat or roll the dough out to about 1 inch thickness.
Use a biscuit cutter or glass to cut out biscuit shapes, placing each onto a baking sheet.
Gather any scraps and repeat until all dough is used.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and deliciously fragrant.
Serve immediately, warm and fresh.
Notes
These biscuits are best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
