Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Baking Sheet
  • Biscuit Cutter or Glass

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 2 cups White Lily self-rising flour Preferred for its lower protein content.
  • 1 cup Heavy whipping cream Can substitute with full-fat coconut cream for a dairy-free option.

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the self-rising flour and heavy whipping cream.
  • Stir gently with a spoon or spatula until a soft dough forms—don’t overmix.
  • Lightly flour your work surface and turn the dough onto it. Knead gently just 3-4 times until mostly smooth.
  • Pat or roll the dough out to about 1 inch thickness.
  • Use a biscuit cutter or glass to cut out biscuit shapes, placing each onto a baking sheet.
  • Gather any scraps and repeat until all dough is used.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and deliciously fragrant.
  • Serve immediately, warm and fresh.

Notes

These biscuits are best enjoyed fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
