Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Spatula

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 0.5 pound Ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 6 slices Bacon, cooked until crispy and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Pure maple syrup
  • 0.5 cup Shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 large Flour tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon Butter or oil for frying
  • to taste Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and break it apart with a spatula. Cook for about 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned and cooked through.
  • Drain any excess fat from the skillet. Sprinkle in the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine, then pour in the maple syrup. Let the mixture simmer for 1-2 minutes so everything becomes well-coated and slightly caramelized.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the crispy chopped bacon until evenly distributed.
  • Sprinkle a mix of cheddar and mozzarella on one half of each tortilla. Add a generous layer of the maple bacon beef mixture, then top with a bit more cheese.
  • Fold each tortilla over to form a half-moon shape.
  • In a clean skillet or griddle, melt the butter (or heat oil) over medium heat. Carefully place quesadillas in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  • Remove the quesadillas from the skillet and let them rest for a minute. Cut into wedges and, if desired, sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For the ultimate flavor, use real maple syrup—not pancake syrup. The natural sweetness balances the salty bacon and beef perfectly.
