  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup mango puree Fresh or store-bought
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce Use gluten-free if needed
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 whole habanero pepper, seeds removed and finely diced Adjust for heat preference
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped cilantro

Instructions

  • Prepare the mango puree by blending fresh mango or using store-bought puree.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, mango puree, soy sauce, minced garlic, diced habanero, and lime juice.
  • Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl to make a slurry. Gradually stir this into the saucepan.
  • Simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
  • Remove from heat and stir in ground coriander and chopped cilantro.
  • Let the sauce cool slightly before transferring to a container or using immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week. Freeze in ice cube trays for portioned storage up to 3 months.
