Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

Fries

  • 4 large russet potatoes cut into fries
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup Cajun seasoning blend
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup green onions chopped
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon optional
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). In a large bowl, toss the cut potato fries with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  • Spread the seasoned fries in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with Cajun seasoning and cheddar cheese. Return to the oven for 5 minutes or until the cheese melts.
  • Drizzle fries with sour cream and hot sauce. Top with chopped green onions and crumbled bacon if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat them in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes to bring back the crispiness.
