Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment Paper

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 bag Frozen French fries
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Sour cream
  • 1 small Onion, diced
  • 1 medium Tomato, diced
  • 1 medium Jalapeño, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Taco seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and cooked through, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  • Spread the frozen French fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake according to package instructions, usually about 20-25 minutes, until crispy and golden.
  • Once the fries are golden, sprinkle the cooked ground beef evenly over them. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and return to the oven for a few minutes, just until the cheese melts.
  • Remove from the oven and add your fresh toppings: diced onions, diced tomato, and sliced jalapeños.
  • Drizzle the sour cream over the loaded fries and sprinkle with taco seasoning, salt, and pepper for an extra kick.
  • Finish with a garnish of freshly chopped cilantro and serve while hot.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
