Chicken

  • 4 pieces Chicken Thighs or Drumsticks Skin on for moisture and flavor.

Rice

  • 2 cups Short-grain White Rice Or Jasmine rice for a unique texture.

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Place the chicken in a vacuum-sealed bag or a bowl. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it is evenly coated.
  • Seal the bag or cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for best results.
  • Cook the marinated chicken on a grill for 6-8 minutes per side or bake in an oven at 375°F for 20-30 minutes until cooked through.
  • While the chicken is cooking, prepare the rice according to package instructions.
  • Serve the cooked chicken over the rice, garnished with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding gochujang to the marinade. Serve with kimchi or pickled vegetables for a complete meal.
