  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 cup honey

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  • Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk.
  • Fold in the chopped pecans.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  • Drizzle honey over the batter and swirl it in with a knife.
  • Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Notes

For extra flavor, toast the pecans before adding them to the batter. Serve warm with extra honey butter for a rich, sweet treat.
