Instructions
First, slice each piece of bread into 3 sticks.
In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sugar until well combined.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a little butter to coat the bottom.
Dip each bread stick into the egg mixture, making sure both sides are fully coated.
Place the coated bread sticks in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown.
Serve the French toast sticks with syrup, powdered sugar, or fresh fruit. Enjoy!
Notes
Use thick bread like Texas toast for the best texture. Don't rush the cooking process. Allow each side to get nicely browned for a perfect crunch.
