Ingredients
2poundsGround beef (80/20 blend)
1teaspoonSalt
1/2teaspoonBlack pepper
4piecesHamburger buns
4piecesHash browns (frozen or homemade, cooked crispy)
8slicesCrispy bacon
4piecesFried eggs
4slicesPepper jack cheese
Instructions
In a large bowl, gently mix the ground beef with the salt and pepper. Divide and shape the mixture into four even patties, pressing a small indentation in the center of each to help them cook evenly.
Fry the bacon slices in a skillet over medium heat until they’re crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
Prepare the hash browns according to package instructions or cook homemade ones in a skillet until they’re golden and crispy on both sides. Set aside and keep warm.
Heat a large skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, add a slice of pepper jack cheese to each patty and let it melt.
In a nonstick skillet, melt a touch of butter over medium heat. Crack in the eggs, season lightly with salt and pepper, and cook until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny (about 2-3 minutes).
Optional, but recommended—split the hamburger buns and toast them lightly in the same pan or under a broiler for about a minute.
Place each cheesy burger patty on the bottom bun. Top with crispy hash brown, fried egg, and two slices of bacon. Finish with the top bun.
Enjoy immediately while everything is hot and fresh!
Notes
For a juicier burger, avoid pressing down on the patties while cooking and let them rest a few minutes before assembling. Use fresh, high-quality ingredients for the best taste.
