Ingredients
Steak
1lbSteak (sirloin or flank), sliced into thin strips
Glaze
1/4cupHoney
2tablespoonsSoy Sauce
1tablespoonOlive Oil
2clovesGarlic, minced
1/2teaspoonBlack Pepper
1/2teaspoonSalt
1/2teaspoonPaprika (optional)
Instructions
1. Pat the steak strips dry with paper towels for better browning. Season evenly with salt, black pepper, and paprika if using.
2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic until well combined. Set aside.
3. Place a grill pan over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. Allow it to get hot but not smoking.
4. Arrange the steak strips in a single layer in the hot pan. Let them sear undisturbed for about 2 minutes, then flip and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes until browned and nearly cooked through.
5. Reduce the heat to medium. Pour the honey-soy mixture over the steak strips. Toss to coat, letting the glaze bubble and caramelize for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently to evenly coat each piece.
6. Once the glaze is thick and the steak strips are cooked to your desired doneness, remove from heat. Serve immediately—ideally with any glaze left in the pan drizzled on top!
Notes
Leftover steak strips can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a skillet.
