  • 1 lb medium shrimp, deveined and tails removed
  • 1 lb spaghetti noodles
  • 6-8 cloves garlic, minced adjust to taste
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 drizzles olive oil
  • Italian seasoning to taste
  • fresh ground pepper to taste
  • red pepper flakes to taste
  • salt to taste
  • fresh herbs (parsley or basil) for garnish

Instructions

  • Boil spaghetti in salted water with a splash of oil and herbs until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until just pink and starting to curl.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring. Drizzle in olive oil and cook until shrimp are fully pink.
  • Add drained pasta to skillet. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  • Add reserved pasta water gradually, tossing until pasta is lightly coated and hot.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs and serve immediately.

Notes

For a citrusy finish, add a squeeze of lemon juice before serving. Great with garlic bread and a glass of white wine.
