Equipment

  • Large Pot

Ingredients

Pasta

  • 12 ounces spaghetti or linguine

Broth

  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth

Cream

  • 1 cup heavy cream

Butter

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

Garlic

  • 5 cloves garlic, minced

Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Cheese

  • 1 1/2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large pot, combine the pasta, broth, cream, butter, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to a simmer.
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente and the liquid has mostly absorbed, about 10-12 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is creamy.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Make sure to stir the pasta occasionally while cooking to prevent it from sticking. Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor.
