Ingredients

Steak

  • 2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into cubes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 tablespoons butter for cooking steak
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Mashed Potatoes

  • 2 lbs potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter for mashed potatoes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Start by seasoning the steak cubes with salt and pepper.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 4 tablespoons of butter and let it melt.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook until it becomes fragrant.
  • Now, add the seasoned steak bites to the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, or until they’re browned and cooked to your liking.
  • While the steak is cooking, you can prepare the mashed potatoes. Boil the peeled and quartered potatoes until tender.
  • Once done, drain the potatoes and put them back in the pot.
  • Add 1/2 cup of milk and 1/4 cup of butter to the potatoes. Mash until creamy and smooth. Season with salt and pepper, adjusting to your taste.
  • Serve the delicious steak bites over a bed of creamy mashed potatoes and enjoy!

Notes

This dish is wonderful served hot, right from the pan to the plate. You can garnish it with fresh parsley or a sprinkle of black pepper for extra flavor. Serve it with a side of vegetables for a complete meal.
